As the GA 400 corridor has expanded, so has the Etowah Water & Sewer Authority in Dawson county. So the Authority turned to Albion Scaccia to expand its headquarters to better serve its customers.
We completely gutted the existing building, built new offices, renovated the customer service area and put in a new conference room. We also built a 1,000 square foot addition to the building and expanded the parking lot.
The project really upgraded the interior. We took out the drop ceiling in the entry, creating a vaulted ceiling with atrium lighting and put a tray ceiling and some nice finishes in the conference room.
We provided construction management at risk services for this job and were pleased to be selected based on qualifications.

As soon as classes were over in spring semester at Georgia Tech, Albion Scaccia began renovating the Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship building, tying together two residential buildings by renovating the existing common area and adding a new floor of work study areas.
CDH Partners architects designed the project, which includes a beautiful new entrance and new finishes in the worship/social space. We had a few challenges in that the two existing residential buildings weren’t at the exact same elevation – one was three inches shorter – but we were able to overcome those with some field accommodations.
We were selected for this project based solely on our qualifications, and we’re excited to be able to give these students a nice new space in which to worship, study and socialize. The project is scheduled to be finished when students return for fall semester August 23.

The superstructure for the Lamar Dodd School of Art’s new Ceramics Building at the University of Georgia in Athens is now complete, and roofing work has begun on this 17,000 square foot building that is slated to be finished in early September.
Currently the ceramics facilities are divided between two locations on campus, and this will be the first time in decades the nine classrooms and multiple kilns will be all under one roof, so the school and the ceramics students are excited about the new building.
In addition to typical construction services that began January 11, we thoroughly reviewed the designs and specifications for the project before we started in an effort to provide UGA with some cost-saving strategies to ensure the building remained within budget.
We hope this beautiful new building will inspire the creativity of these young artists as they hone their skills!
